Book Review - How to Win Friends and Influence People

Author - Dale Carnegie

This book will help you solve one of the biggest problems you face: how to get along with and influence people in our daily business and social contacts.

The book was written as a result of a 2 year survey conducted at the University of Chicago and the United Y.M.C.A Schools. The aim of the survey was to determine what adults wanted to study.

The survey revealed that health was the prime interest of adults and their second interest was people.

A search revealed that a practical handbook on human relations did not exist and as a consequence this book evolved.

This book is loaded with fundamental principles on how to understand and get along with people; how to make people like you; and how to win others to your way of thinking.

How to Win Friends and Influence People can assist you in the following areas:

* Getting out of a mental rut, thinking new thoughts, and acquiring new visions/ambitions;
* Making new friends easily and quickly;
* Increasing your popularity;
* Winning people to your way of thinking;
* Increasing your influence, your prestige and your ability to get things done;
* Handling complaints and avoiding arguments; and
* Becoming a better speaker and more entertaining conversationalist.

If you truly want to improve your skill with people this book is a mandatory read.

In essence this book will provide you with the tips and strategies to communicate more effectively with other people.

As a Life Management & Success Coach I suggest that my clients become proactive in becoming better communicators.

Your ability to communicate effectively with other people will determine the level of success that you experience in your life.

I highly recommend that if you want to change the results in your life that you read this book.
